The moment Honey stepped into her friend’s home, Ava rushed her. She hugged her tightly and whispered into her ear.

“Bitch yo’ hips are spreading. You either been eating good, or yo ass is…”

Ava quickly bit her tongue and thought about TonYelle. She didn’t want to bring up pregnancy so soon after her friends’ loss and risk the chance of being way off base.

“Or my ass is what?” Honey teased with a smile as she nudged Ava playfully.

“Nothing,” she laughed and changed the subject. “You’re looking good girl.”

Honey drug Ava in the back by her arm while Bolo filled Aaron in on the phone call from Kamry. They were so busy talking that they didn’t notice that the ladies left the room.

“Girl, yes I am!” Honey blurted out.

“You are what?” Ava gasped with her hands up to her mouth with anticipation.

“I’m pregnant!” Honey whispered. “But I haven’t told Bolo yet so you have to keep this a secret until I figure this out.”

“What is there to figure out Denise,” Ava replied using Honey’s government name to show her seriousness. “You are married to the love of your life and God has blessed you with another child.”

Ava shed tears of joy for her best friend. She had been praying for Honey every day and trusted in the Lord to answer her prayers.

“Thank you Jesus!” They chanted in unison.

“What are we giving thanks for?” Bolo interrupted.

Both Ava and Honey began stuttering. They were telling two completely different stories at once. Aaron and Bolo looked at them with suspicion.

“Man you believe this Aaron?” Bolo laughed as he took Honey into an embrace. “They are in here hiding shit.”

“Out with it Ava,” Aaron demanded in an elevated tone.

He automatically thought it was something about Kamry, but Bolo knew it wasn’t. He could tell by the grin on his wife’s face.

“Hold on Aaron,” Bolo suggested and stared towards Honey. “That’s not it is it baby?”

“We were just talking girl talk,” Honey came back quickly. “I have a doctor’s appointment in the morning. You wanna come with me?”

“What kind of appointment is it?” Bolo frowned up. “If you’re gonna see Dr. Waller and he’s gonna probe all up in your shit, I don’t wanna go! I don’t think I can sit there and watch another man put his hand up my…”

“Ah hush that shit up!” Ava teased. “That is way too much information!”

“Seriously, why can’t you get a female doctor Honey?” Bolo questioned as he gave her a swift peck on the lips.

“Ha, I do have one,” she confessed. “You’ll meet her in the morning.”

“In that case, count me in…”
